Authorities in Indiana County have filed charges against a Hastings woman after she allegedly made false reports of child abuse against an area couple and reportedly took provocative videos of the couple’s 6-year-old daughter.
According to a criminal complaint, police say 27-year-old Brittany Larose had falsely claimed that the couple had been using drugs, had allowed their daughter to skip school and had even reported concerns of alleged sexual abuse.
Troopers say multiple welfare checks were conducted at the couple’s home and the claims were unfounded.
Upon further investigation, police say Larose reportedly sent multiple threatening messages to the child’s mother, including one that stated “Karma’s a [expletive].”
Troopers say, in the messages, Larose continued to claim that the couple was abusing the young girl.
“I really hope you hit a telephone pole or something on your way to work,” Larose also threatened.
Investigators noted that police discovered at least three videos that reportedly showed the young girl “dancing provocatively,” all of which were reportedly filmed by Larose and were sent to the child’s parents.
According to online court records, Larose was arraigned Monday on charges of corruption of minors and falsely reporting child abuse.
She was released on unsecured bail.
