Family of people who were lost to gun violence this year, are spending the holidays without them.
Britney Rummell’s aunt, Syndi Rummell, says times like these have been hard to bear. “Britney and her cousins were very close. She’s missed a great deal.” she says.
Britney Rummell, along with Lionel Mickens, and a Pitbull were all found dead in a Hornerstown home, in the spring of 2022.
According to police, the killer has not yet been identified.
One woman, Tammy Winkelman, who says she knew Britney Rummell, and others lost to violence this year, says she wants justice to be served.
“We need this violence to stop here. We need to let our children grow up in peace and love.” says Winkelman.
“I do appreciate the fact that Britney is in the forefront of a lot of people’s minds. Her and Mr. Mickens deserve that.”
