A hospital spokesperson says more changes are coming to Conemaugh Medical more specifically staffing changes. Reporter Brock Owens is digging into this story today and has more.
Concerned Conemaugh patients say they heard Conemaugh Medical could be closing its One Tech Drive building in Johnstown.
Conemaugh Marketing Communications Director Tammy Barbin calls that misinformation, but did acknowledge changes are coming.
Those changes include consolidating some services at a few of the Conemaugh Physician Group locations impacting about ten medical providers according to officials.
Doctor Phillip Gvozden currently practicing out of the One Tech Drive office says he is being terminated and will be out of the building sometime in April.
Gvozden says to his knowledge he is the only one at that location being impacted right now and Conemaugh says the same services will be offered there moving forward.
A spokesperson for the medical center says it is making the changes to quote “better align with industry standards and coordinate the services we are offering with the local heathcare needs of our communities”
