Richland School District alerted parents of an ongoing threat investigation.
According to the letter sent to parents the district was notified by a parent about the possibility of a verbal threat made by a Richland Middle School student to another student.
The administration reported the matter to the Richland Police Department who is handling the investigation.
The Richland School District says they will have an increased police presence at both schools Tuesday and will initiate other emergency procedures for the foreseeable future.
