The YWCA Greater Harrisburg started a new challenge designed to help with its overall mission.
The 21-day racial equity and social justice challenge and the 17th annual race against racism are underway.
Event organizers including PSECU are using a series of guided daily tasks to help the community connect and dismantle racism and discrimination.
“We plan a year and advance so we started planning last year it was a pandemic and we kind of had to make a quick decision after the world kind of shut down in March that we needed to go virtual for our race in April so participation was kind of low because everyone was just trying to figure out what to do and how to move forward.”
The event ends on April 24th.
Registration is still open.
