Windber Library

As the Windber Public Library celebrates their 101st year, staff just kicked off their “Yearly Fund Drive” this month.

Joshua Seese, the Library Director, said donations are needed to offset the rising costs of utilities, technology, and programming.

“I’m a firm believer that public libraries build healthy communities. Any kind of donation whether it’s small or large is an investment in the future of libraries,”

He said they’re trying to raise $25,000.

Residents of Windber, Central City, and surrounding areas are sent a letter in the mail asking for donations.

They can drop off or mail their donation to:

Windber Public Library
1909 Graham Avenue
Windber, PA 15963
Phone: (814) 467-4950

Patrons can even donate online by clicking here, scrolling down, and clicking “donate now.”

Seese said the money can also help fund materials, services, and programs to help better the community.

“It gets tougher every year, especially during the pandemic, so it’s more important now than ever,”
