One School District in Somerset County switched from in-person instruction to online classes last week after positive COVID-19 cases were confirmed within the District. They are now getting ready to head back to the classroom. Last Tuesday, Students at Windber Area School District were told they were getting dismissed from class early and that they would be moving to all online classes for the rest of the week. On Monday, they’re scheduled to go back into the classrooms. The Administration says they’ve conducted deep cleaning and disinfecting after Students and Teachers were sent home for the week.
Nathan Grohal, a Junior at Windber Area High School, says when he heard the news School was closing, he was worried about what would happen to his Football Season. They ended up playing Saturday night and they won. Nathan’s Dad says he’s glad the game was able to take place, but he’s also happy his kids can head back to School for an in-person education.
