U.S. Amateur Qualifier Results

Day two of the U.S. Amateur Qualifying Tournament took place Today at Sunnehanna Country Club out of the 133 golfers that tee’d off Yesterday only 52 of those golfers were back Today

Pittsburgh Penguins own Sam Lafferty made the cut for the final round on par 5 15th hole longest on the back nine, Lafferty crushes the tee shot he had the furthest drive out of his group his third
shot will land him on the green so this putt is for birdie the professional hockey player showing off on the greens after two rounds, Lafferty finished the tournament at 12 over par

Erik Bertrand was the leader Yesterday after scoring a 65 not the same luck in round two Bertrand dropped down the leaderboard from first to tied for 6th with an even par just missing the invitation to Oakmont this summer but he is listed as an alternate

The 2017 U.S. Senior Amateur winner Sean Knapp back in the mix Today he was tied for 4th as started on the par 4 12th hole this putt for birdie, Knapp asking for the ball to go through the back door he shot one over par Today but finished the tournament at one under

Palmer Jackson in the leader group for day two off the par 3 7th tee box, Palmer the only one in his group to find the green he two putt for par but what a weekend for the Murrysville native shot a 66 Yesterday a 71 Today which put him one over par but that was enough

Pamler Jackson wins the qualifying tournament at 3 under par there was a three way tie for second place at two under, Sean Knapp finished on the leaderboard at one under and these five gentlemen will go on to play in the U.S. Amateur at Oakmont Country Club this August
