Two Greater Johnstown High School Students Arrested for Having Knife in School

Officials say two students were arrested Wednesday after a knife was found at Greater Johnstown High School.

According to Superintendent Amy Arcurio, a teacher alerted school security around 1:30 p.m. that a student had a knife.

A School Resource Officer responded and secured the classroom and the students until they could find the knife, Arcurio said.

Johnstown police were called to help, and two juveniles were arrested, officials said.

“We are very appreciative of our students, teacher, school security, and the Johnstown Police Department,”
