As teams across the National Football League prepare to go with contact practices in training camp.
Next week the Pittsburgh Steelers will take that 1st step towards a rebound from last year’s 8-8 finish that saw them miss the playoffs.
In a major factor in this year’s rebound is going to be the health of Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger he played just 2 games in 2019 before he was lost for the year year due to elbow surgery.
If he returns to the 2018 version of himself. That led the league in passing the Steelers could take a run at the AFC North Division and then see where the chips fall in the playoffs.
But if he isn’t 100 percent. It’s going to be another hodgepodge year revolving door situation at quarterback.
Hopefully that’s not the case, so far All indications are that Ben is indeed himself again he feels. Good looks good and although he hasn’t thrown much yet.
Head coach Mike Tomlin has zero reservations that number 7 will be number 7 again.
“We didn’t have him throw yesterday we have been focusing on getting to know these young guys, but the has been throwing and doing well we like where he is and have no reservations about him being a fluid participant in the training camp process.”
