Steelers Roster Moves

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be without the services of All Pro Guard David DeCastro for week one against the Giants, due to a lower body injury he has been battling throughout camp. It appears as of now that DeCastro will be hard pressed to suit up. That paves the way for Stefan Wizniewski, the former Penn State Nittany Lion who was signed in the Offseason to fill in for this situation.

Head Coach Mike Tomlin also discussed the round of cuts and acquisitions to hit the 53 man limit. He believes the signings of Sean Davis at Safety, Josh Dobbs at QB, and Dustin Colquitt as Veterans with familiarity to the system can go a long way towards being ready week 1. These acquisitions allowed them to part ways with Devlin Hodges, Daniel McCullers, and Ryan Switzer just to name a few.
