Steelers Release DeCastro

The Steelers released 2x All Pro Guard David DeCastro Thursday afternoon. DeCastro was entering the final year of his Contract. By releasing him, the Steelers save $8.75 Million in cap space. In 13 starts last Season, the 6 Time Pro Bowler did not allow a single sack. DeCastro spent 9 Seasons with Pittsburgh after being Drafted 24th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Steelers.

Pittsburgh will be filling his role with Trai Turner, the 5 time Pro Bowl Guard was a Free Agent after dealing with some injuries last year with the Chargers. The Steelers now only have one returning O-Lineman and that is Chuck Okorafor.
