Somerset County is mourning the loss of one of its top law enforcement officials after Sheriff Brad Cramer passed away Saturday night.
Sheriff Cramer’s passing was confirmed by District Attorney Jeff Thomas.
“Sheriff Cramer was a true public servant and his passing is a tremendous loss for Somerset County. He cared deeply about the people he served and always made his sheriff deputies available to assist the drug task force,” Thomas said in a statement.
The specific details of Sheriff Cramer’s passing were not made known and the funeral information has not yet been listed.
“Brad’s presence in the courthouse will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family,” Thomas added.
Sheriff Cramer served in law enforcement for over 40 years and was a member of the sheriff’s office since 2009.
