Authorities say new charges have been filed against the Somerset County District Attorney accused of sexually assaulting a woman.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Jeffrey Thomas Tuesday.
Thomas waived that hearing.
Meanwhile, two new charges have been filed against Thomas
The felony rape charge he faced has been withdrawn, court documents indicate.
Thomas currently faces felony charges related to strangulation, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault without consent and criminal trespassing, according to online court documents.
He also faces several misdemeanors including simple assault, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, and indecent assault.
