Two Bridges in Somerset County were dedicated on Sunday to those who have made lasting impacts in their community. A bridge in Meyersdale and another bridge in Salisbury were dedicated to two local Veterans on Sunday, and their friends and family members were there to witness it all.
The families of Airman Michael Menser and Sergeant Stephen Minick hope these signs lead people to seek out their stories, because they’re now the new names of two bridges in Somerset County. The “Airman Michael L. Menser Memorial Bridge” is next to the Somerset County Fairgrounds in Meyersdale and Michael’s brother David says it’s a great way to continue his legacy. The “Sergeant Stephen M. Minick Memorial Bridge” is past the Volunteer Fire Department in Salisbury, and his Niece Misty says her family is so honored. Two men turning these ordinary signs into an extraordinary message.
