A teen wanted in connection with a shots fire incident in Altoona turned himself in Thursday, police say.
Sgt. Matthew Plummer with the Altoona Police Department says 17-year-old Preston Weakland walked into the police station with his lawyer Thomas Dickey Thursday, after being wanted for allegedly firing a single round at another group of teens Saturday afternoon.
This all happened in the area of 17th Street and 7th Ave., where police say Weakland and 16-year-old Collin Brothers were involved in an altercation.
Nobody was hurt in the incident, Weakland is facing felony charges of attempted murder, possession of a firearm, recklessly endangering another person, and aggravated assault.
