Shaw Library Improvements

Improvements are on the way to the Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Public Library in downtown Clearfield. The library won two grants for various improvements.

The Clearfield Revitalization Corporation design application provided grant money for improvements outside of the building.

The Clearfield County Charitable Foundation provided $2,500 to replace all of the computers in the building.

The improvements are important for residents in rural areas where people may have limited or no internet and cell phone service.

“My vision for the Library is that basically to make us that central location where people come to us for for help and assistance with access to computers, to access to materials,
we’re more than just books. We are are here for our community and I think that’s what makes us viable as we go into 2022.”

Cosmetic improvements to the property include new outdoor lighting and signage.
