Saint Francis University hosted their ninth annual “March for Life on the Mountain” event.
Students, staff and community members came together to unite in prayer and share their anti-abortion viewpoints with our area.
The moment of prayer was followed by a march around the campus mall and an afternoon mass.
Organizers say the event is in response to the Roe v. Wade supreme court decision.
“Our university community and our friends and neighbors take the opportunity near this anniversary of Roe v. Wade to stand up for life, to pray for an end to abortion, to pray for a healing for anyone who has been impacted by abortion,” said Father Malachi Vantasell.
“So, this is a way for us to witness to the sanctity of life and to really show respect for the unborn and the need to raise awareness in this day and age.”
