Sen. Toomey Speaks Out Against President Trump

In an interview on Fox News on Saturday, Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., said he thinks President Donald Trump “committed impeachable offenses” but would wait and see what any articles of impeachment look like before he decides how he would vote.

“I don’t know what they are going to send over, and one of the things that I’m concerned about, frankly, is whether the House would completely politicize something,” he said during an interview on Fox News’s “The Journal Editorial Report.” “I do think the president committed impeachable offenses, but I don’t know what is going to land on the senate floor, if anything.”

It comes after pro-Trump supporters broke into the Capitol on Wednesday, hours after the president spoke at a rally near the White House, disrupting the certification of Electoral College votes.
