SEADS Garden Center in Johnstown (which stands for “Sustainable Employment for Adults with Disabilities”) got into the fall spirit Saturday while helping adults with special needs in the process.
Employees sold pumpkins, gourds, mums, perennials, baked goods, and other fall items at their mini festival.
Vincent Lovenduski is the manager of the nonprofit who says this event brought joy into his own son’s life who works there.
“He loves it. It gives him an opportunity to get out of the house. We try to keep him engaged, and that’s so important for these kids. The more engaged he is, the better he is,” Vincent says.
