According to Somerset County District Attorney Jeff Thomas, an inmate at SCI Somerset, accused of killing his cellmate in 2018, was convicted of first degree murder on Wednesday.
Authorities say now 29-year-old Dale Wakefield was charged with killing 25-year-old Joshua Perry in January of 2018.
“I commend the prosecuting attorneys for the Commonwealth. They did a superb job prosecuting this case, evidenced by the jury returning a verdict within 30 minutes,”
Wakefield is scheduled to be sentenced in November.
