Saint Marys Vaccinations

As counties in our viewing area balance their supply of the COVID-19 vaccine, one local pharmacy is doing their part in vaccinating their community.

St. Mary’s Pharmacy in Elk County has held 2 mass vaccination clinics for all individuals in phase 1-a.

Officials say they administered over 8,000 doses including over 5,000 first doses and over 3,000 second doses.

The director of the pharmacy says their efficiency in part is due to administering a COVID-19 vaccine every 12 seconds.

But recently, like many other pharmacies their vaccine supply is dwindling.

As of right now officials say they don’t have another clinic set up, and ask residents to be patient during this time.

“We have definitely seen a decrease in our allocation so far we’ve been lucky enough to receive what we needed for all of our second doses but some other clinics across the state haven’t been so lucky.”
