A Luncheon was held this afternoon by the Salvation Army of Johnstown. It was held at the Richland Township Fire Department Banquet Hall.
Veterans members for veterans service organizations and local legislative leaders came together for the meal.
Organizers say the meal was meant to show their appreciation and gratitude for our local veterans.
They said this was the first year having the lunch on Pearl Harbor Day.
“We wanted to honor the veteran and a meaningful time frame comraderie is the most important thing to veterans, and as you can say, there’s a lot of camaraderie here today.”
Caulfield the president at Veteran Community Initiatives went on to say that the relationship between the Salvation Army and veterans has been going on for over 30 years.
