The Richland Township Board Of Supervisors officially approved the promotion of their newest Chief Of Police at a meeting Tonight.
They say that current Police Captain Richard Pollino will serve as the newest Chief beginning January 1st. He takes over for current Police Chief Michael Burgan, who is retiring at the end of the month.
Burgan says he’s served as Chief for 12 years and has been with the department for 39 years.
Burgan also says that Pollino will be the department’s fifth Police Chief since its 1958 establishment
“I’m happy with the decisions I made it and I’m happy with the hands of the police departments in it’s going to continue of a very prosperous future”
At Tonight’s meeting, the Board Of Supervisors also congratulated Burgan on his retirement and Pollino on his promotion
