Saturday marks twenty years since Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York City, a third hit the Pentagon just outside of Washington D.C. and the fourth crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Nearly three thousand people were killed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. A local event is commemorating the anniversary through faith, patriotism, and civic pride. Pam Etters, the producer of the event, join us with details.
