As the Olympics continue here’s something to look out for Max Holt and Matt Anderson two former Nittany Lions playing for the United States. Team USA Men’s Volleyball team will take on the Russian Olympic Committee tonight.
The American men swept France in three straight sets Saturday to advance, Matt Anderson is a pin hitter and Max Holt is a middle blocker in the match against France the two combined for 21 kills
Almost winning an entire set for team USA by Penn State players here’s a few facts about the guys
Anderson is a three time Olympian
He won a Bronze medal in Rio De Janeiro back in 2016
He ranked second among all scorers in those Olympic games
He also played in the 2012 games in London where team USA tied for 5th. Anderson also won a National Championship with Penn State back in 2008
Holt is a two time Olympian
He was also a part of the 2016 Bronze medal team
That year he ranked 2nd among all blocker in the games with 20 total blocks
He was an alternate for the London games
And Holt played with Anderson on that 2008 National Championship Team for Penn State
