He’s the second President in U.S. history to serve a second term non consecutively.

“I return to the Presidency, confident and optimistic that we are at the start of a really new era of national success.”

Monday’s events were held inside the Capitol due to extremely cold weather. Supporters, cabinet members and political leaders including the four other living presidents packed inside the Rotunda to watch Trump become the 47th President of the United States.

“Our power will stop all wars and bring a spirit of unity to a world that has been angry, violent and totally unpredictable.”

The day full of celebratory events across D.C.

Including a First Honors Ceremony to celebrate all branches of the U.S. Military.

During his speech in the Rotunda, Trump laid out an ambitious agenda to tackle what he calls an immigration crisis including declaring a national emergency at the southern border.

“All illegal entry will immediately be halted and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came.”

Where he signed a slew of Executive Orders including withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement.

The newly sworn in President is expected to sign more Executive Orders in the coming days.
