Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins have enjoyed a nice 2 day break in between games coming off an impressive sweep of the New York Islanders at home.

The Pens will next be tasked with hitting the road for a matchup with the Boston Bruins.

The two day break comes at a great time.

Injured forwards Evgeni Malkin and Kasperi Kapanen are both rehabbing off the ice and will be out longer term.

As if thats not bad enough add a goalie injury to the mix. Starter Tristan Jarry left the Islanders game Monday, and today head coach Mike Sullivan said he will be day to day with an upper body injury.

Insert Casey Desmith who has been outstanding thus far this season.

In his last 152 minutes of game action Desmith has allowed just one goal and dating back to February 1st boasts a save percentage of 95.1 percent which comes as no surprise to Sullivan.
