Pitt Panthers vs. Boston College

The Pitt Panthers, a week after their first loss of the Season, played their first road game of the year at Boston College. Picking it up with Pitt down 3 in the 2nd: Kenny Pickett finds Israel Abanikanda who scampers into the end zone for the 15 yard Touchdown. Panthers take the 14-10 lead. In the 3rd quarter, the Eagles had the Panthers’ Secondary in knots all game long. Phil Jurkovec play action going long for Zay Flowers and they’re not going to get him. 77 yard Touchdown. Their 2nd long bomb connection of the game. Eagles lead 24-14.

But Pitt stormed back, down just 3 three with less than a minute to go and after a huge loss on a Pickett sack, Pitt praying for Alex Kessman who has to try a 58 yard field goal to tie it, and it’s good forcing overtime! After a Boston College Touchdown and extra point, Pitt survives two 4th down conversions and Pickett gets it to Taysir Mack. So Kessman, who keep in mind just nailed a 58 yarder, should have no problem with the extra point, but he misses it and with that Pitt falls: 31-30.
