Pitt Loses a Nailbiter

The Pitt Panthers didn’t get much respect in the AP poll this week, dropping 3 spots in spite of beating a ranked Louisville squad, that was thanks in part to the AP adding Big Ten and PAC 12 schools back in the polls.
The Panthers trying to improve to 4-0 this afternoon for the first time in 20 years

And they got off to a great start against North Carolina State at Heinz Field.

2nd play of the game Kenny Pickett finds a wide open Jordan Addison and he’s gone for the 75 yard touchdown.
But Pitt played sloppy throughout this game.

And in the 4th quarter. North Carolina State’s Devin Leary hits Cary Angeline for a 25-yard touchdown,and NC State take a 24-23 lead

But Under 2 minutes to play, 3rd and goal Kenny Pickett with the keeper for the 1-yard touchdown. Pitt misses the 2-point conversion, they lead 29-24

But Under 30 seconds to play LEARY fires to Emeka Emezie for the 13-yard score. The Panthers lose a last minute heartbreaker 30-29.
