This was the Series Finale between the Phillies and Pirates.
In the Bottom of the 3rd, Wilmer Difo’s shot will get over the Infielder. Ben Gamel will score and the Pirates are on the board.
In the Top of the 5th, Pirates still trailing 3-1. All-Star Center-fielder Bryan Reynolds jumping at the wall. Reynolds makes the catch and gets a tip of the hat from the cross-state rival.
In the Bottom of the 7th with two on, Kevin Newman with a deep shot into left field. That is caught and Newman is credited for the Sac-Fly. Hoy Park will score.
Obviously no team wants to get swept, but Philly really didn’t come to play around on Sunday. They scored 15 runs on 20 hits. The Pirates go down their Pitching Order and look to John Nogoawski on the mound.
In the Bottom of the 9th, Pirates trialing by a lot. Perez hits a two run shot. He and Rodlfo Castro will score, but the Pirates lose with a Final Score of 15-4. They are 0-6 when going for the sweep this Season.
