Pens Update

Last night was exactly the bounce back type effort the doctor ordered for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

It was all doom and gloom after the hearbreaking overtime loss in game one but game two was a completely different story

The Pens took a two goal lead in the first period thanks to a loose goal from Bryan Rust an innocent looking wrister that squeaked past Semyon Varlamov then off a great forecheck

Jeff Carter finished his 14TH career playoff goal that was enough to preserve a 1-1 series thanks to 39 saves from Tristan Jarry the game turned a bit physical towards the
end.

But head coach Mike Sullivan was not surprised its the nature of playoff hockey the pens will continue to just play their game no matter how chippy
