On the ice the NHL’s trade deadline came and went.
And for a while all was quiet on the Pittsburgh Penguins front until some news started to trickle through.
The Pens seem to have bolstered their attack courtesy of the Anaheim Ducks.
Late Yesterday the Pens started by signing Defenseman Mark Friedman to a 2 year contract extension.
Today they started by trading a conditional 7th round pick to Winnipeg in exchange for depth Defenseman Nathan Beaulieu
And the big one the Pens shipped Forwards Zach Aston Reese, Dominic Simon, a 2022 second round pick, and a prospect for former 30 goal scorer of the Anaheim Ducks Rickard Rakell.
