Penguins Fight Islanders for 2nd Place

As we get ready to close out the month of March, it’s a tight race in the East Division. The Penguins only have one game left this month, and it’s against a Team they’ve become very familiar with — the New York Islanders.

With Saturday’s Win, the Pens picked up two points putting them only two points out of Second Place in the East. That’s a spot that the Islanders currently hold on to. These Teams will take the ice Monday night inside the PPG Paints Arena. Every game matters during this COVID Season, but Monday’s game holds a little more value to the Team in Pittsburgh. They have a chance to go up in the Standings, but that’s a difficult task when playing against a Team that knows their style pretty well by now. See video for comments from the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Jake Guentzel and Coach Mike Sullivan…

Here’s a look at the tough East Division. The Capitals still hold the Number One spot with 50 points. Right behind them are the Islanders with 48 points and then the Pens with 46.
