Pence Staffers Test Positive

With the Presidential Election now 9 days away, the Candidates and their Running Mates are criss-crossing the Country hoping to reach as many Voters as they can. And as the Nationwide case counts surge, the White House is faced with another Coronavirus Outbreak. At least five people in Vice President Mike Pence’s inner circle have tested positive in the last several days. That includes his Chief of Staff Marc Short.

The White House says both Pence and his Wife has tested negative. Pence appeared at a rally in North Carolina on Sunday and he’s scheduled to travel to South Carolina and Minnesota this week. Though the CDC suggests individuals that have been exposed to the Coronavirus quarantine for 14 days, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows says the Vice President is an essential worker who is performing his duties and traveling the campaign trail simultaneously. Meadows saying: “What he’s doing is wearing a mask, socially distancing and when he goes up to speak he will take the mask off and put it back on, but he’s wearing a mask because the Doctors have advised him to do that.”

On Sunday, Joe Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris calling on Pence to stay home. Harris saying: “He should be following the Guidelines. We’re doing it. I think we have modeled the right and good behavior, and they should take our lead.” Meadows saying Sunday that the United States is not going to be able to control the Virus and should continue to focus on therapeutics and vaccines to lower the death rate. Meanwhile, Harris criticized the Trump Administration’s handling of the Coronavirus, saying Meadow’s comments are an admission of failure.
