We first told you nearly a year ago that former Penn State defensive back Isiah Humphries filed a federal lawsuit against the university, football coach James Franklin and others. That lawsuit still in court just last Friday, November 13th, this filing again denying Humphries allegations asking for the remaining claims in the suit to be dismissed.
Humphreys says, while he was a member of the Nittany Lions in 2018, he was assaulted at the team’s headquarters in the Lasch building on campus and else where. An internal Penn State investigative report we obtained showed dozens of players, coaches and others were interviewed.
One player Humphries said attacked him denied it with a lie detector test he took. Close to 70 other players signed a statement saying they didn’t witness any assaults and others said there was some locker room horseplay, but nothing serious.
Centre County’s district attorney confirmed a report on Humphries allegations was sent to his office in April of 2019.
“Police talked to witnesses named and did follow up.we felt the allegations are unsubstantiated”
So no criminal charges were filed on Friday, ESPN reported Humpries said Coach James Franklin told him not to talk to police about a fight with a teammate. In response,Penn State issued a statement denying the allegation.
