Another roller coaster of a week for College Football. The Pitt Panthers were back in action and Penn State right back where they’ve been this Season. Penn State in Happy Valley hosting the Iowa Hawkeyes Saturday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions took an early lead. They scored on their second possession with a pass from Sean Clifford to Keyvone Lee. The Hawkeyes answered back immediately. Tyler Goodson for the 10 yard Touchdown run. Iowa went on to score three more Touchdowns. In the Third, the Hawkeyes lose the ball on the snap. Lamont Wade makes the recovery for Penn State and gives the team a little momentum. The very next play, Clifford hits Brenton Strange to make it 31-13, but the extra point was blocked by Iowa. To end the Third, in Penn State’s next possession, Clifford deep to Jahon Dotson for a 68 yard Touchdown. That brings the Nittany Lions within 10 with the 4th still to play. But Penn State’s Offense couldn’t close. In interception on the next drive became a Pick 6 by Clifford Daviyon Nixon. Iowa goes up 20 and that sealed the deal.
Penn State loses 41-21. They fall to 0-5 for the first time in Program history and with that they only have three games left to turn things around.
