New York Man Arrested

State police in Centre County say a New York man, wanted for homicide and drug trafficking, was arrested following a traffic stop this week.

Authorities say on Tuesday, April 5, troopers conducted a traffic stop along Interstate 80 westbound in Boggs Township.

Troopers say the passenger of the vehicle, later identified as 39-year-old Steven Campbell, of Jamaica, NY, provided false identification to police.

Campbell is wanted by the New York City police department on charges of homicide and trafficking cocaine.

Troopers say he has been arraigned to the Centre County Correctional Facility while he awaits extradition to New York.

Authorities noted that drug paraphernalia was seized during the traffic stop.
