The National Director of Communities and Schools toured Greater Johnstown High School today, that tour was to work with individuals in each school within the district who provide supplemental support to students and families.
The program helps staff support and provide food, clothing, mental health care, behavioral needs and social and emotional learning.
“This work is no, it’s not just one organization or one person. It’s really the school district working with community partners, everyone coming together to take a look at what students need. And he removed barriers. And how do you help them succeed?”
Officials say attendance is one main focus getting families and students to reengage in education has been tough throughout the pandemic.
