Meanwhile, dozens of people were outside the Bedford County Courthouse showing their support for Terry Myers.
On the opposing side, NAACP activists and leaders were also present, ensuring the safety of the witnesses.
The President of Blair County’s NAACP Andrae Holset who was present for Myers hearing responded to what justice means for Thurman and the dozen of other activists Myers reportedly shot
“Justice is going to mean that the injuries he sustained, Mr. Thurman that he is still suffering from are not overlooked. That he is safe while he’s waiting in incarceration after
answering for his charges and that somebody answers properly for felonious charges as well for the shooting of him.”
Thurman is still awaiting an arraignment and no court date has been set on the remaining charges.
