A new Surgical Technology Program is being offered to Mount Aloysius College students through Penn Highlands Healthcare.
This collaboration provides scholarships in educational funding, hiring incentives and guaranteed hiring for incoming students at any Penn Highlands Healthcare Hospital.
The program is a 2 year program featuring both online and in-person classes.
“Surgical techs are one area that we are extremely short in our area. So this program, bringing the expertise of the people from Mount Aloysius to our local town for training is really significant. It’s really going to help us grow, people who want to stay in the region, and provide excellent care to our patients.”
The signing event was held at Penn Highlands Dubois in Sandy Township.
