The early morning hours of April 8th. State police are called to a home along route 45 in a rural area of Centre County, near the village of Woodward. Outside the home they find 26 year old Robert Farwell with a stab wound.
Farwell died a short time later. The woman living at the home said she had a relationship with Farwell, but that particular morning, he showed up unannounced, arguing, and threatening to kill her.
She says when he wouldn’t leave she grabbed a steak knife for self defense, and Farwell was stabbed when he lunged at her.
Farwell’s death ruled a homicide as the result of a domestic incident. Shortly afterwards police saying the woman was cooperating with their investigation
“Most of our evidence was sent to the state police crime lab,and depending how backed up they are there, this investigation could take months to complete”
This week Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna saying the investigation is ongoing, with no other comment, including a possible timetable when a decision will be made on whether criminal charges will be filed.
