Here’s a check of some of the winners of the big municipal primary races in our area.
In Cambria County 4 Democrats were chosen for Johnstown City Council.
Moving on to the November election are Sylvia King, Maria Mock, Ricky Britt and Laura Huchel.
In the Democratic primary for Cambria County Sheriff Tom Owens won with 53 percent of the vote.
And Blair County 4 Rpublicans were chosen for Altoona City Council with David Butterbaugh Jr, Bruce Kelley, David Ellis and Ron Beatty getting the nod.
William Latchford also secured the nominee for the Republican nomination for Tyrone Borough Mayor.
