Breona Taylor’s longtime boyfriend is suing the Louisville Metro Police Department and the officers involved in the deadly raid. Kenneth Walker filed the Lawsuit Saturday, which marked one year since her death.
Walker’s Lawyers claim that LMPD violated his Fourth Amendment Rights when the Officers entered Taylor’s home without knocking. The Lawsuit also states that Officers carrying out the raid did not coordinate with the Louisville Police Department’s Special Weapon and Tactics, who typically handles “No-Knock Raids.”
Taylor was shot and killed in her apartment last March when Police mistakenly entered her home. Walker opened fire thinking it was an intruder. That’s when Police shot Taylor. None of the Officers involved were charged.
