A Johnstown woman whom police say they were searching for in connection to a homicide earlier this year at Coopersdale Homes has been jailed.
Authorities say 27-year-old Terrell Foreman is facing charges including hindering apprehension, tampering with evidence and recklessly endangering another person connected to the shooting death of Armel Joe in May.
Investigators say the shooting occurred May 17 at a late-night party at Coopersdale Homes.
Authorities issued warrants in May for the arrests of Foreman and another woman, named Dawn “Dutchess” Smith, after police say the two women drove the suspected shooter from Johnstown to Philadelphia after the shooting.
According to a criminal complaint, police interviewed a witness in May who said she was visiting Smith’s Johnstown home and was told that Joe’s killer, Amir Matthews, was asleep on Smith’s couch.
The witness told police that Foreman and Smith used Smith’s vehicle to take Matthews and his gun to Philadelphia, according to the complaint.
Police say a second witness told officers that Foreman was the one who gave the gun to Matthews the night of the killing, according to the complaint.
According to police, the other witness said the gun had been hidden in Foreman’s baby bag.
Foreman is being held in the Cambria County Prison and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 7.
Johnstown police say they’re still looking for Smith and Matthews.
