Johnstown Shots Fired Incident

Court Documents say Bryce Gibson is facing two counts of Aggravated Assault and Fleeing the Scene following a shots fired incident Sunday afternoon in Johnstown. Police say they were able to identify Gibson with the help of witnesses.

Johnstown Police say when they responded to the scene, they spoke with two witnesses who were on Cedar Street when the incident took place. Police say the witnesses told them they had heard the gunshots before seeing two men, both wearing parkas, running away. Police say just a few blocks over Bryce Gibson was picked up by Police and taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center to be treated for a thumb injury.

According to the Complaint, Police interviewed Gibson at Conemaugh, when Gibson told them that he was walking down the hill from Family Dollar when he heard several gunshots and ran once he heard them stop. Police say the witness’s description matched what Gibson was wearing when he was picked up by Police.

If you have any additional information which could help in this investigation, you are asked to contact the Johnstown Police Department.
