Detectives in Cambria County say a Johnstown area man is facing charges, accused of “bribing” a young girl for “sexual favors.”
Authorities say the investigation began in March of this year when the victim, now age 11, reported that she had been sexually assaulted by 38-year-old Anthony Drummond when she was in the second grade.
According to the affidavit, the alleged assault occurred as Drummond was driving from Somerset to Richland Township, with the victim in the passenger seat.
The victim told police that Drummond allegedly “bribed” her to touch his genitals and, in return, he would buy her candy or a game.
Police say the victim claimed that she did what he asked “because she was scared.”
Drummond was arraigned Wednesday afternoon on charges of indecent assault and indecent exposure, according to online court records.
He is being held at the Cambria County Prison on $30,000 bail.
