Senator Jake Corman started a statewide small town Pa bus tour while campaigning for Governor.
The months-long tour started today in Somerset and Johnstown.
Corman held petition signings while visiting local businesses.
He also spoke with area residents about the challenges they face.
Some of those challenges include what residents had to go through during the COVID-19 mandates.
“Small towns and small businesses probably suffered the most during covid. And the Governor shut down, which we though were illegal and the voters voted to reduce his power, rightfully so, and it’s important for me to come and
hear and meet people from small towns in Pennsylvania to make sure I understand what their issues are.”
The rest of the tour will primarily focus on small towns along Pennsylvania’s historic routes 30 and 6.
