In Cambria County the Johnstown Inclined Plane rehabilitation project is officially underway.
The project is spearheaded by several local organizations, including Vision 2025 Together, Conemaugh Valley Conservance, Camtran and others.
The work will improve the bottom portion of the inclined plane as well as bring new features to the park.
Officials say the area will be closed to riders and commuters, as well as the observation deck and hillside trails until the spring of 2023.
Detours are also in place while the project is ongoing.
