A fundraiser event happened earlier this afternoon in support of a Huntingdon County woman who was hurt during an explosion last month.
The fundraiser was at Sunset Golf Club in Oneida Township. Spaghetti, meatballs, salad, and dessert were being sold. The dinner was in honor of Michele Shovlin, who was inside her home when it exploded. Those who attended say it shows how caring the community is by donating their time for the benefit dinner.
“I just think this shows the caring community that Huntingdon county is and how welcoming they are. and i think this is the nature and makeup of Huntingdon County.
they’ll do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done.”
About 150 meals were sold. All proceeds will go toward the benefit fund.
